Stefanus Brian Audyanto graduated from the faculty of law Pelita Harapan University in 2009 and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from Sydney, Australia in 2012. He has extensive experience as corporate and capital market lawyer. His practice includes representing foreign, domestic companies and state-owned enterprises in corporate commercial transactions, involving variety of business transactions including M&A, foreign direct investment and privatization. In addition, he also has notable experience in labor and employment related matters.

He has represented clients in diverse industries including, among others, companies engage in mining, energy, oil and gas, consumer goods, steel, securities and transportation business sector. Some notable clients which he has advised include General Electric (GE), PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), PT Alstom Transport Indonesia and Keane Touring LLP (British Rock Band).

He is the co-author of Indonesia chapter in International Labor and Employment Laws (fourth edition) and Workplace Data Law and Litigation, both published by Bloomberg BNA. He also involved in the publication of Indonesia Corporate Governance Manual published by IFC and Indonesia Financial Services Authority and also the preparation of outsourcing practice benchmarking, where he worked with cross border employment lawyers around the world. Further, he is also actively involved in international employment seminars and conference.

  • a mining sponsor of a consortium in relation to the tender of Sumsel 9 and 10 mine mouth power plan project by PLN;
  • PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance on the USD12.5 million equity investment in an Indonesian power company;
  • PT Bestindo Energy on the acquisition of several coal mining companies, including PT Pelangi Kartanegara, PT Prapatan Prima Coal and PT Alam Tabang Raya Pratama;
  • a consortium of investors on the acquisition of several mining companies, including PT Halimon Meugah Raya, PT Banda Raya Paradiso, PT Bayu Kamona Karya, PT Nanggroe Kuchi Puega 1, PT Nanggroe Kuchi Puega 2 and PT Surya Mineral Resources;
  • PT Bright Brilliant Star on the acquisition of several coal mining companies, including PT Pagar Benua Borneo, PT Intu Bara Mandiri and PT Kelapa Gading Semi Tunggal;
  • a consortium of investors on the acquisition of several coal mining companies, including PT Beringin Alam Raya, PT Panmas Prima Coal and PT Family Group;
  • Baosteel Co Ltd on the acquisition of smelter company and mining companies in Sulawesi;
  • PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) on the establishment of PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance, the first infrastructure financing company in Indonesian with initial committed capitalization of USD140 million;
  • PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) and PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance on the sale of 14.9% stake (new shares) in PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation;
  • a sharia-based multilateral agency and a large Indonesian non-bank financial institution on the proposed establishment of a sharia-compliant investment company;
  • PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera on establishment of a joint venture with Korean investors, having the line of business in industrial transportation services;
  • PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon and Posco Chemtech on the establishment a joint venture company for the development, engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of a lime calcining plant;
  • PT Krakatau Tirta Industri and Blue O&M on the establishment of a joint venture company engaged in the waste water management;
  • PT Alas Energi Indonesia on  all relevant legal aspects in relation to the entry into of shareholder agreement for gas procurement in Gresik, in cooperation with a regional-owned company;
  • PT Intisentosa Alam Bahtera on a shareholders agreement in relation to the acquisition of equity stake by Louis Dreyfus Commodities Asia Pte Ltd in the company;
  • PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk on the establishment of two joint venture companies, namely PT Krakatau Nippon Steel Sumikin and PT Krakatau Osaka Steel. PT Krakatau Nippon Steel Sumikin is a joint venture company established by PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. PT Krakatau Osaka Steel is a joint venture company established by PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk and Osaka Steel Corp;
  • PT Krakatau Tirta Industri on the proposed establishment of a joint venture company with Blue O&M, and affiliated company of Posco (Korea);
  • PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon on the proposed establishment of PT Krakatau Pos-Chem Dong-Suh Chemical, a joint venture company established by PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (30%), Posco Chemtech (45%) and Dong Suh Chemical Indo Co Ltd (25%);
  • PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon on the establishment of PT Krakatau Posco Chemtech Calcination, a joint venture company established by PT Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon (30%) and Posco Chemtech (70%); and
  • PT Krakatau Daya Listrik, on preparing a joint venture agreement for the development of power plant infrastructure.
